The star and executive producer of the daytime talk-show hit The Ellen DeGeneres Show this year signed a massive deal to be the new face of department store JCPenney. When activist group One Million Moms campaigned to get her removed as spokesperson because she's gay (and married to actress Portia de Rossi since 2008), the company stood by her. DeGeneres has been an outspoken proponent of same-sex marriage and animal welfare.
